The Philippines is a safe place to travel for families with kids, and while they are bound to draw attention from locals, your kids are generally as safe as they would be at home.

But as with anywhere else, you should keep an eye on them at all times, because not everything is safe for kids, including fast-moving traffic and other normal hazards.

Foods can be tricky, though, so it is a good idea to pay attention to what you all eat, adults as well as kids. Tap water is not healthy, as it is not treated to western standards for consumption, so stick to bottled water. If eating on the streets, get your snacks and food from the better vendors with the cleaner carts and you shouldn’t have any problems.
